ZBA dismisses Owl’s Nest Sports Complex application without prejudice; hearing closed

The Zoning Board of Appeals reopened a continued public hearing on the proposed Owl’s Nest Sports Complex and then dismissed the application without prejudice, according to the board’s Oct. 9, 2025 minutes.

Chair Alicia Williams moved to reopen the hearing, which had been continued from June 12, 2025; Vice‑Chair Margaret Sweeney seconded and the board voted unanimously to reopen the hearing at 6:33 p.m. After acknowledging correspondence from the applicants requesting dismissal, Sweeney moved to honor that request and dismiss the application without prejudice. Williams seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The minutes note that dismissing without prejudice allows the applicants to reapply in the future.

The board then moved to close the public hearing; Alicia Williams moved, Margaret Sweeney seconded, and the board voted unanimously to close the hearing at 6:39 p.m. The minutes record no other public testimony or additional motions related to the Owl’s Nest application.

Earlier in the meeting the board approved the minutes from its June 12, 2025 meeting by unanimous vote. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. and adjourned at 6:42 p.m. "Respectfully submitted" is signed by Bergren Cliff, Planning and Zoning Coordinator.
