The Canaan Planning Board on June 25 unanimously approved a lot-line adjustment for the Stark property on Goose Pond Road after accepting the application as complete and holding a public hearing.
Chair John Bergeron opened the meeting at 6 p.m., and the board accepted the Lot-line Adjustment Checklist for the Stark application. At 6:13 p.m., Stephen Freese moved and Nick Lavalley seconded a motion to accept the application for discussion; the motion passed unanimously. Surveyor Scott Sanborn described the reasons for the proposed adjustment and outlined complex issues affecting the property, including road and river re-routing, and answered questions from board members. At 6:23 p.m. the board opened a public hearing by motion and, with no comments from the public, moved to approve the lot-line adjustment; the approval vote was unanimous.
The decision completes the board’s review for this application; the board did not record additional conditions in the minutes. The next scheduled Planning Board meeting is July 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mascoma Community Health Center.
