YUTAN, Neb. — The Yutan City Council set a public forum on a proposed sales tax for July 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Yutan Fire Station, city officials said at the June 16 meeting.
The council said the forum is intended to give residents an opportunity to review and comment on a proposed sales tax before any formal council action. The council also scheduled its first budget meeting for 6:00 p.m. on July 21, to be held before the regular July 21 council meeting. Residents who wish to speak at council meetings are asked to contact the city clerk by the Monday preceding a meeting by 4:00 p.m. and must provide their name and address for the record.
