Epping board backs temporary manufactured-housing language for March ballot

The Epping Planning Board voted 5-0 on Jan. 8, 2026 to recommend an amendment to Article 6, Section 6.9 (Manufactured Housing Regulations) for inclusion on the March 2026 ballot. Chairman Michael Vose opened the public hearing and read the notice for the Article; the proposal's stated intent is to allow alternative temporary housing on a property during the construction of a home.
Heather Clark moved to recommend the amendment and Vice Chairman Mike Sudak seconded; the motion carried unanimously. No public comments were made during the hearing. Chairman Vose said the full text of proposed amendments will be available at Town Hall beginning Jan. 12, 2026.
If approved by voters at the March ballot, the change would alter the town's zoning regulations related to temporary housing during construction.
