Greenland board forwards $7.65 million operating budget and multiple warrant articles to public hearing

On a separate motion to adopt RSA 41:14-a (allowing the Board of Selectmen to acquire or sell land), the minutes record the vote as three in favor and two opposed (the minutes list Selectmen Laura Malloy and Zack Pike as the dissenting votes); the motion was recorded as carried.
The Board noted the Department of Revenue Administration would not allow the use of the Unreserved Fund Balance to directly offset the tax impact of the operating budget, and Town Administrator Tara Tucker said the Budget Committee's $116,000 increase to the town budget was intended mainly for wages and operational flexibility.
