Selectmen authorize trail permission, approve ETV camera purchase and discuss employee appreciation

At its Jan. 20 meeting the Epping Board of Selectmen approved a five-year trail permission for the Newfields SnoRaiders and authorized the chairman to sign the agreement. The motion was made by Selectman Cliff Cray, seconded by Vice-Chair Pamela Tibbetts, and passed 5-0.
The board also approved a purchase order to Key Code Media for one ENG camcorder for ETV in the amount of $12,580. The ETV operator, Glenn Frederick, said the cameras come with supporting equipment and that the town will retain older cameras for loaning. The motion to approve the purchase was moved by Selectman Cray, seconded by Selectman Caitlin McCormack, and carried 5-0.
Town Administrator Jake T. Roger raised Employee Appreciation planning for 2026 and solicited ideas including family-inclusive and employee-only options such as Fisher Cats, York's Wild Kingdom, Pawtuckaway State Park, Stratham Hill Park cookout, skiing, Canobie Lake Park ticket sales or gift cards; no final decision was made. Roger also reminded the board that candidate filing opens Jan. 21 and that ballot clerks are needed for the March 10 vote.
