Epping selectmen approve new firefighters, camera purchase and snowmobile-trail permission

At their Jan. 20 meeting the Epping Board of Selectmen approved a set of personnel and administrative items as part of the consent and business agendas.
Personnel decisions approved by the board included hiring Max Parenti as a full-time Firefighter I/EMT at $24.85 per hour (starting Jan. 30, 2026); hiring Victor Pizzottii as a full-time Firefighter II/AEMT at $29.72 per hour; hiring Aiden Steinmann as a part-time EMT at $21.61 per hour; and increasing Caleb Torre’s hourly rate from $21.61 to $23.23 after he obtained his AEMT license. Vice-Chair Pamela Tibbetts made the motion to approve the hires and pay change; Selectman Joe Trombley seconded and the board voted 5-0.
The board also approved a five-year trail permission for the Newfields SnoRaiders and authorized Chairman Tom Gauthier to sign the agreement following a motion by Selectman Cliff Cray and a second from Vice-Chair Tibbetts.
ETV Operator Glenn Frederick described a purchase order to Key Code Media for one ENG camcorder and supporting equipment at a cost of $12,580; Selectman Cray moved approval, Selectman Caitlin McCormack seconded and the motion carried 5-0. Meeting minutes note older cameras will be retained for loaning when required.
The consent calendar approved earlier in the meeting included payroll manifest $209,949.85 and an accounts payable manifest totaling $1,698,775.17 (with $1,000,000 for the school, $215,598.00 for Primex and $483,177.17 for the town).
