Petitioned requests include $7,500 for the Epping Youth Athletic Association; $11,300 for Community Action Partnership of Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties to assist Epping residents with fuel, utilities, food, housing and budgeting support; $1,500 for Ready Rides (transportation to medical appointments for disabled and older residents); $3,000 for the Community Children's Fund (which provided $10,280 in vouchers/direct aid to Epping children in 2023); $8,100 for Waypoint at The Richie McFarland Center supporting early-intervention services (45 children served last year); and $9,000 for Meals on Wheels of Rockingham County to continue meals and transportation for older residents.
Most petition articles carried positive recommendations from the Municipal Budget Committee on the warrant text. Article 21, a petition asking that all voting take place in the Allen Gymnasium, showed a split Select Board recommendation (2-2) in the warrant materials.
These petition items will be decided by voters at the March 10 official ballot after the Feb. 3 deliberative session. Town Administrator Jake T. Roger said warrant copies will be posted in three public places for inspection.
