Epping board approves hires and EMT pay increase for fire department

The Epping Board of Selectmen approved multiple Fire Department staffing actions during its Jan. 20 meeting. By unanimous vote, the board authorized hiring Max Parenti as a full-time Firefighter I/EMT at $24.85 per hour beginning Jan. 30, 2026; Victor Pizzottii as a full-time Firefighter II/AEMT at $29.72 per hour; and Aiden Steinmann as a part-time EMT at $21.61 per hour. The board also approved a pay increase for Caleb Torre from $21.61 to $23.23 per hour after he obtained his AEMT license.
The motion to approve the hires and pay adjustment was made by Vice-Chair Pamela Tibbetts and seconded by Selectman Joe Trombley; the motion carried 5-0. The board recorded start date details for Mr. Parenti; the other hires will follow standard personnel onboarding procedures.
