Greenfield announces March election results; Thomas J. Bascom Jr. elected selectman

Moderator Andre’ Wood announced the results of the March 11, 2025 elections during the reconvened Town Meeting on March 15. Thomas J. Bascom Jr. was elected to a three-year term as Selectman with 263 votes to Jason J. Duval’s 99 votes. Curtis Hamilton was elected School Board Representative (259 votes) and Trustee of Trustfunds (334 votes). Gilbert Morris was elected to the Budget Advisory Committee (three-year term) with 300 votes. Roger Lessard won Cemetery Trustee (330 votes). Stephanie Kokal was elected Library Trustee (257 votes). Planning Board seats were won by Jason Bennett (188 votes) and Marc (Dave) Thimmell (218 votes).
The Moderator and town officials reported the election tallies after polls closed at Greenfield Elementary on March 11; Supervisor of the Checklist Linda Dodge read the checklist, which contained 1,200 registered voters. Several Budget Advisory Committee positions (1-year and 2-year terms) received no votes and remain open, according to the town report.
The election outcomes were read as part of Article 1 business and recorded in the minutes. No contested recounts or challenges were recorded in the minutes; the meeting proceeded to other warrant articles after certifying the results.
