Selectman Jeremy Walla moved to enter nonpublic session at 4:00 p.m.; Vice Chair Peter Garland seconded. The motion cited RSA 91-A:3 II-c as the legal basis for private deliberations and listed the meeting attendees, which included Town Administrator Emily Owens and two residents, Rita Broughall and Mathew Zweeres.
After meeting in nonpublic session, Vice Chair Peter Garland moved at 4:45 p.m. to come out of nonpublic session; Selectman Walla seconded and the board unanimously approved exiting the session.
Following that vote, Vice Chair Garland moved — and Selectman Walla seconded — a motion to seal the nonpublic session minutes "because it was determined that divulgence of this information would adversely affect the reputation of any person other than a member of this board." The board voted unanimously to seal the minutes.
With no further business, Selectman Jeremy Walla moved to adjourn; Vice Chair Garland seconded. By unanimous vote the Board adjourned at 5:00 p.m. The minutes were filed as "Respectfully submitted" by Town Administrator Emily Owens.
The board cited RSA 91-A:3 II-c when ordering the nonpublic session and when approving the motion to seal the minutes; the transcript and sealed minutes do not disclose the substance of the nonpublic discussion.
