Ferrelview trustees adopt ordinance updating board compensation; routine actions approved

The Village of Ferrelview Board of Trustees adopted an ordinance updating the qualifications and compensation for trustees on March 10, 2026.

Chairman Elizabeth Damm read the header of Bill No. 2026-01 aloud three times before the board voted. Grant Lewton moved to pass the bill to be numbered Ordinance 394; Mathew Damm seconded. The motion passed on a roll-call vote: Elizabeth Damm—aye; Mathew Damm—aye; Grant Lewton—aye; Shondreka Burney—absent. The motion carried 3-0-0-1.

City Administrator April Baxter presented the item to the board; no public comment was recorded. The ordinance repeals earlier ordinances (50, 204, 331 and 337) and establishes a new framework for trustee qualifications and compensation as set out in Bill No. 2026-01.
