At its Jan. 13 regular session, the Village of Ferrelview Board of Trustees set the Earth Day community clean-up weekend for April 24–26, 2026 and noted guardrail damage at the intersection of 1st Street and Heady Avenue. City Administrator April Baxter reported no accidents at the guardrail location; Trustee Mathew Damm suggested placing a large boulder at the corner to protect the stop sign.
The board also reviewed a required lead-and-copper service-line questionnaire notice that Administrator Baxter said was sent to customers who have not submitted a service-line questionnaire. On extended liquor sales hours tied to the World Cup, Ms. Damm noted the city is automatically opted into the state’s extension and that only one local business would be affected; the board took no action and the item was tabled, meaning no opt-out resolution was passed.
Finance business: Treasurer April Baxter presented monthly billing summaries (November 2025). Trustee Mathew Damm moved to pay the bills; the board voted 4-0 to approve payment. The regular session adjourned at 6:31 PM.
Why it matters: These items are routine municipal housekeeping — community event scheduling, infrastructure monitoring, regulatory compliance notices and routine bill approvals — but they record the board’s near-term priorities and procedural outcomes.
Next steps: staff will continue planning the Earth Day cleanup, monitor the guardrail location and proceed with normal billing and regulatory reporting duties.
