Byron council approves minutes, bills and transfers funds to Wyoming Class

On Sept. 9 the Byron Town Council approved the agenda, minutes and bills; authorized a $50 sewer reconnection for a property owner; and voted to transfer roughly half of CD funds (including Sewer, Infrastructure and Main Street Water funds) to the Wyoming Class investment pool.
The Byron Town Council approved routine governance matters at its Sept. 9 meeting, including the agenda, prior meeting minutes, and last month’s bills. Motions carried unanimously on each item.
Councilwoman Karma Sanders requested two additions to the August regular meeting minutes relating to the Rusch property — an updated plot plan and a request to subdivide their parcel — and the council approved those additions as part of the minutes approval.
Mayor Clark explained that utilities previously served Jared Sanders’s new property and that a $50 reconnection fee would apply; the council voted to approve sewer reconnection for Jared Sanders.
The council also agreed to move approximately half of the town’s CD funds (about $600,000) into a Wyoming Class local government investment account. The Sewer Fund, Infrastructure Fund and Main Street Water Fund were named for transfer; Shae Abraham moved the transfer and Brandon Hessenthaler seconded. Mayor Clark said additional transfers could be made later.
During bill approval, Mayor Clark noted a payment to Bunky Christiansen for entertainment at Byron Days and questioned some meter pit costs; the council approved the bills after discussion. The meeting included procedural motions to enter and exit an executive session to discuss personnel; both motions passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned by unanimous vote.
