Mannington Committee adopts two ordinances to vacate sections of Brown and Woodnut streets

On a motion by Committeeman Emel, seconded by Committeeman Patrick, the committee opened and closed the public hearing on Ordinance No. 18‑06 (vacating the northern section of Brown Street) after no members of the public spoke. The committee then adopted the ordinance on second and final reading; the motion carried.
The committee followed the same procedure for Ordinance No. 18‑07, which vacates two streets — Woodnut Street (listed in the ordinance as a.k.a. “Woodnutt Street”) and Old Windmill Lane. Emel moved and Patrick seconded; the hearing recorded no public comment and the ordinance was adopted on second and final reading.
Both measures were processed as routine land‑use cleanups presented under the meeting’s Old Business section; no amendments or conditions were recorded. The ordinances themselves were read into the record as MANNINGTON TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE NO. 18‑06 and NO. 18‑07. The committee carried the motions to adopt both ordinances during the meeting’s regular session.
