Mannington Township’s governing committee adopted the 2018 municipal budget at a meeting on May 3, 2018 following a brief public hearing.
The public hearing was opened by motion and the township auditor, Fred Caltabiano, explained the budget and the municipal tax rate to the committee. After the explanation, the committee closed the hearing and, on a motion by Emel seconded by Patrick, adopted the budget resolution as printed on pages 41 and 42 of the attached 2018 Budget. The roll-call vote recorded Mayor Asay and committee members Patrick and Emel voting yes.
Ahead of the hearing the CFO submitted a Report of Reconciled Cash Balances for the month ending March 31, 2018 and a Summary Budget Status printout as of April 30, 2018 to provide financial context for the committee.
The adoption formally places the 2018 budget on the township record; no revisions or amendments were recorded in the minutes during the meeting. The committee proceeded to consider other agenda items after the vote.
