River Ridge board appoints Keith Merrill to vacant seat and elects officers

The board unanimously appointed resident Keith Merrill to Seat 1 (term to Nov. 2026), administered his Oath of Office, and adopted Resolution 2025-01 electing Bob Schultz as Chair and Terry Mountford as Vice Chair while removing James Gilman from an assistant secretary post.
At its Oct. 22 meeting the River Ridge Community Development District Board appointed Keith Merrill to fill the unexpired Seat 1 term through Nov. 2026.
Chair Bob Schultz nominated Merrill and, on a motion by Schultz seconded by Robert Twombly, the Board voted unanimously to appoint him. Mrs. Adams, a notary and district manager representative, administered the Oath of Office. District Counsel Tony Pires and staff reviewed required ethics training, the Sunshine Law, public records obligations and required disclosure forms with the newly sworn supervisor.
The Board also adopted Resolution 2025-01 electing officers. Kurt Blumenthal nominated the slate that was approved: Bob Schultz, Chair; Terry Mountford, Vice Chair; Kurt Blumenthal and Robert Twombly, Assistant Secretaries; and Keith Merrill, Assistant Secretary. The resolution removed James Gilman as an Assistant Secretary. The motion passed "with all in favor."
