River Ridge CDD adopts FY2024/25 budget and approves special assessments

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors adopted the fiscal year 2024/25 budget and a special-assessments resolution at its Aug. 27 meeting.
District Manager Chuck Adams said the draft budget contained scrivener errors, including the description for street sweeping; staff corrected those items before the public hearing. No property owners spoke during the hearing, and the board adopted Resolution 2024-07 "as amended," relating to annual appropriations and authorizing budget amendments.
District Counsel Tony Pires opened the public hearing on Resolution 2024-08, which makes a determination of benefit and imposes special assessments for fiscal year 2024/25. No members of the public spoke; the board directed staff to delete references to "Exhibit B" throughout the resolution and then adopted the measure as amended.
Both votes were taken by motion of Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, and carried "with all in favor." Chair Bob Schultz participated by telephone; Supervisors Terry Mountford, Blumenthal and Twombly were present in person. The board did not record individual opposing votes.
The budget adoption authorizes staff to make technical amendments, and the adopted assessment resolution provides the district’s operating authority to certify and collect the assessments as described in the adopted roll. The board also discussed completing required ethics training and financial-disclosure forms during the meeting.
