Sanbornton Budget Committee approves minutes, elects officers and fills vacancy

The Sanbornton Budget Committee unanimously approved several procedural items at its April 14, 2026, meeting at Old Town Hall, the committee recorded. Joe Bodwell moved to approve the Jan. 22 minutes with corrections; Dennis Rechcygl seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The committee also resolved leadership and representation roles. Joe Bodwell nominated Bob Silvia for chair; the committee approved the nomination unanimously after a second from Dennis Rechcygl. Chair Bob Silvia then nominated Joe Bodwell as vice chair and moved that Bodwell serve as the committee’s representative to the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Committee for a one-year term; both motions were seconded and passed unanimously.
The panel filled a membership vacancy by appointing Christine Gagnon to a one-year term. Chair Bob Silvia moved the appointment, Denise Backman seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
All procedural votes at the meeting were recorded as unanimous. The roll call listed Selectman Mark Brown, Chair Bob Silvia, Joe Bodwell, Denise Backman, Dennis Rechcygl and Paul Stevens as present.
