During the council action portion of the March 2 meeting, the mayor nominated Randy Wolf to serve as Hebron’s representative on a Joint Economic Development District (JED) board for the Kirkgorsville area. A motion to nominate was made, a second was recorded, and council members closed nominations. The subsequent roll-call vote to appoint Randy Wolf passed 6–0.
The mayor said the appointment will give Hebron representation on the JED board and called it a learning opportunity for the village. Council members did not register opposition in the public record. The council did not attach additional conditions to the appointment during the meeting.
