Columbus council approves $2.88 million in claims, votes to enter closed session for city administrator review

The motion to go into closed session was moved and seconded; a roll-call vote passed and the chair said the council would reconvene to open session but "no action will be taken." The statute was read aloud as part of the motion.
The clerk handled the roll calls for both actions. No formal personnel action was taken in open session; the meeting moved to closed session for the evaluation process.
