Council approved Road Improvement Agreement #VOL2601, which covers three projects: Lake Street (from village limits south 1,710 feet to Jordon Street), F-41 (from Merrick Drive north 2,180 feet to village limits) and Traverse Bay (from Church Street east 1,362 feet to Barlow Road). The agreement specifies the village contribution will be 100% of the total cost of materials, labor and equipment or $25,501.10, whichever is less; the Road Commission will provide equipment, labor and required traffic control and is not responsible for maintenance or repairs after project completion.
Separately, council moved to allow President Sheila R. Phillips to sign form 1799 with Huron Engineering for road work in 2027. The council noted a meeting with Chris Hennessey of Fleis and Vandenbrink on plans for a new fire hall.
