The Lincoln Village Council approved routine business and acted on several resident requests at its July 7 meeting at Village Hall.
President Sheila R. Phillips called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. and councilors approved the June minutes on a motion by Council Member Wambold with support from Council Member Lucas. The treasurer's report was approved subject to audit on a motion by Council Member Durham with support from Lucas, and bills were approved for payment on a motion from Wambold with support from Sharboneau.
Resident Lenny Bobick addressed the council about a brush pile on his property that he said should have been collected with storm debris; he provided photographs to support his request. Council moved, with Wambold offering the motion and Lucas the support, to have the maintenance crew pick up the brush if Mr. Bobick pays the $35 dump-truck load fee. The measure carried.
Alex Cole asked for permission to develop a small baseball field between Coles Warehouse and the Credit Union. Council Member Durham moved to allow the development, with Wambold providing support; the motion carried.
The council adjourned following the evening's business on a motion by Durham supported by Wambold.
