According to staff, the project’s engineer agreed with that assessment and withdrew the wetlands portion of the application: “Their engineer agreed and withdrew the application.” Planning and zoning will continue handling the land‑use and demolition aspects of the consolidated lots.
Staff said the three buildings on the consolidated lots are blighted, one had suffered fire damage, and the applicant intends to demolish the structures and replace them with a gas station. The wetlands question was the subject of the jurisdictional review; with the engineer’s withdrawal, the wetlands commission closed its involvement in that item.
