At the Dec. 2 meeting the Bridgeport Charter Township Board handled a slate of routine administrative items.
On the liability-insurance agenda item, trustees reviewed projected savings but noted revised numbers were not yet available. Trustee Foxx moved and Trustee Placher seconded to table renewal of the township liability insurance with Trident Public Risk Solutions through MyMember Insurance Company until the Dec. 16, 2025 board meeting; the motion carried 7-0. Trustee McFarland moved and Trustee Foxx seconded to table discussion of township hours until the Dec. 16 meeting to allow additional input from department heads and staff; that motion also passed unanimously.
The board approved the 2026 Township Board meeting schedule (Attachment K) on a motion by Trustee McFarland, seconded by Trustee Kuznicki, and approved the 2026 designated holiday schedule (Attachment L) on a motion by Trustee Placher, seconded by Trustee Williams; both motions passed 7-0. Trustees also approved the 2026 township attorney list and board and commission appointments on unanimous votes. No public comment or substantive debate on these routine calendar and appointment items is recorded in the minutes.
In accounts-payable business the board approved checks #74573 through #74648 in the amount of $296,921.75 on a motion by Trustee Placher, seconded by Trustee McFarland; roll call was 7-0. The meeting adjourned at 8:07 p.m.
