The Big Bear City Community Services District Board of Directors unanimously adopted Resolution 2026-21 on June 15, electing to have delinquent trash collection and delinquent water service charges for fiscal year 2025/26 collected on the county tax roll. Administrative Department Manager Kaylyn Johnson told the board there is approximately $28,000 in uncollected charges and said the Board must set a hearing on the written report; the hearing was set for July 20, 2026.
The resolution directs the District to file a written report of delinquent charges with the county auditor and prescribes notice of the hearing. President Bob Rowe and all directors voted in favor of the motion to adopt the resolution.
Placing delinquent utility and collection charges on the tax roll is a standard mechanism for the District to recover unpaid balances through property tax billing. The Board did not receive public comment on the item at the June 15 meeting.
A public hearing on the written report will be held July 20, 2026, per the resolution. More details and the full text of Resolution 2026-21 are recorded in the District’s Resolution and Ordinance Book Number 37.
