The Bridgeport Charter Township Board approved a batch of accounts payable checks totaling $796,449.52 and set a second reading of Ordinance 25-01 (Inoperable/Unlicensed Vehicles) for the Aug. 5, 2025 board meeting.
At 6:01 p.m., Supervisor Chad Evans called the July 1 regular meeting to order. Clerk Eddie Foxx moved to adopt the agenda as amended to correct the accounts-payable amount; Trustee Kuznicki seconded, and the board voted 7–0 to adopt the revised agenda.
Trustee Nelson moved, and Trustee McFarland seconded, approval of checks #73965 through #74108 totaling $796,449.52; the motion passed unanimously (7–0). Later in new business, Trustee Nelson moved and Trustee Kuznicki seconded to hold a second reading of Ordinance 25-01, which the board approved by roll call 7–0, scheduling possible adoption at the Aug. 5 meeting.
The board also voted to enter a closed session to discuss litigation on a motion by Supervisor Evans with a second from Trustee Williams; the meeting returned to open session at 7:40 p.m. Trustee Placher moved to adjourn at 7:46 p.m., seconded by Trustee Williams; that motion also carried 7–0.
The meeting record lists department reports submitted as attachments (Police, Fire, Code Enforcement, Manager). No public ordinances were adopted on July 1; Ordinance 25-01 will return for a second reading and possible adoption on Aug. 5, 2025.
