The Village of Tobaccoville Council met on March 5, 2026 and unanimously approved several procedural items, including a revised April meeting date and two budget-workshop sessions.
Mayor Mark Baker called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the council approved the Feb. 10, 2026 regular meeting minutes on a motion by Mayor Pro Tem Carla Hall, seconded by Council Member Chris Copeland; the vote was unanimous. Administrator Lori Shore presented the monthly financial update; Mayor Mark Baker reported that his internal audit of January 2026 records found no discrepancies.
Council Member Chris Copeland moved to change the April council meeting to Monday, April 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Village Hall and to set Budget Workshop dates for Monday, April 6, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.; Council Member Chris Starling seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Council Member Chris Starling moved to declare May 7, 2026 as "The National Day of Prayer" in the Village of Tobaccoville; Mayor Pro Tem Carla Hall seconded and the motion was adopted unanimously.
Mayor Pro Tem Carla Hall moved to adjourn; Council Member Chris Copeland seconded. The vote was unanimous and the meeting adjourned at 7:13 p.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Village Hall, with a budget workshop set for 5:00 p.m. that same day.
