The Village of Tobaccoville council met in closed session July 3 to consider personnel matters and, after returning to open session, directed staff to begin recruitment for a Maintenance Supervisor.
Council Member Mark Baker moved to enter closed session under statute 143.318.11(6) to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness or conditions of appointment or initial employment of an individual public officer or employee; Council Member Carla Hall seconded the motion. The council entered closed session at 7:45 p.m. and returned to open session at 8:15 p.m.
After the closed session, the council discussed posting the Maintenance Supervisor position and directed Administrator Dan Corder to post the job opening and gather applications. The council also asked staff to prepare a budget amendment for the August council meeting to provide funds for training an individual for the position and to fund additional seasonal personnel for Village Park.
