Atlantic Beach council approves consent agenda, reappoints Board of Adjustment members

The Atlantic Beach Town Council approved the meeting consent agenda and reappointed several Board of Adjustment members during the May 26 joint meeting.
Council approved routine consent items including the finance report, budget amendments and transfers, tax collection and tax release reports, approval of Phase II vegetative and C&D debris removal contracts (State Tree Services primary, DRC Emergency Services secondary), and approval of a 2026–2028 emergency pump rental agreement with Xylem Dewatering Solutions, Inc. Councilmember Joey Dean moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilmember Joseph Starling seconded. The motion passed 5‑0.
On separate motions, the council re‑appointed Tony Engrassia, Bonnie Pitts, Harrison Smith, Stephen Rea (alternate) and Larry Williamson (alternate) to the Board of Adjustment with terms expiring June 30, 2029. Staff asked that Shannon Vance be removed for nonparticipation since appointment in 2023. The reappointments were approved unanimously, 5‑0.
