The City of Green Lake/Town of Brooklyn Fire Commission met at 6:00 P.M. on March 25, 2026, at the Firehouse, 574 Commercial Avenue, Green Lake, and approved routine minutes and departmental reports, including $11,543.94 in Fire Department expenses.
Chairman David Nawrocki called the meeting to order and certified compliance with the open meeting law. Roll call showed Ron Triemstra, Christopher Foos, LuAnn Mirr-Frank, James Hebbe and David Nawrocki present; Todd Morris was absent. The commission approved the minutes of the Feb. 25, 2026, meeting on a motion and second from Commissioner LuAnn Mirr-Frank and Christopher Foos.
The commission accepted the First Responders' March report and invoices; the motion to approve the report, moved by James Hebbe and seconded by Ron Triemstra, recorded expenses of $0.00 and carried. The Fire Chief’s March report was distributed and accepted after a brief acknowledgment from Commissioner Ron Triemstra thanking personnel for training on the lake in cold, windy conditions. On a motion by LuAnn Mirr-Frank seconded by James Hebbe, the commission approved the Fire Chief’s report and associated expenses totaling $11,543.94; the minutes state only that the motion "carried."
An EMS report was given to the commission; the minutes note the report was distributed but do not specify figures or further action. Under 'Business' the minutes record there was no business to discuss.
Commissioners identified "Recruitment and Retention" as a future agenda item and asked to contact Chief William Wagner for follow-up. The commission scheduled its next regular meeting for Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. The meeting adjourned on a motion by James Hebbe seconded by LuAnn Mirr-Frank; the minutes close with "Respectfully submitted, Todd Morris, Secretary."
