Commissioner Andrew Benton reported at the Aug. 19 Unionville Town Council meeting that the application period for the combined clerk/tax collector/land-use administrator role has closed and applicants have been contacted by email.
Benton said the interview committee will move forward with scheduling interviews. Town Attorney R. Kenneth Helms also told Council he is preparing a proposed lease for the Piedmont Recreation Association and hopes to present it next month.
No formal votes on the hiring process were recorded in the minutes; the report functioned as an administrative update and a reminder of forthcoming committee activity.
