Council agreed by show of hands to purchase using the fund balance, with the caveat that the final survey be received before closing, Mayor Pro Tem Harry Archer said.
O'Daniel explained any future structures would need to meet FEMA elevation requirements—typically 3–4 feet above grade—and that permanent facilities like restrooms may face additional restrictions. Council did not take a formal roll-call vote but recorded consensus to proceed; staff will return with final closing documents and the survey before any transfer.
