The Aplington City Council unanimously approved an amendment to the ARC lease on May 13 that raises the minimum aggregate liability insurance requirement to $3,000,000.
Mike Meyer spoke on behalf of the ARC and told the council the group’s insurance company requested the lease amendment. A motion by Meyer, seconded by Prier, to amend the lease carried by roll-call vote with all ayes.
Council did not change other lease terms in the meeting and did not specify an effective date for the amendment beyond approving the change to the liability coverage minimum. The clerk will update the lease documents accordingly and notify the ARC of the change.
