Alex Blackburn appointed to Three Forks City Council

Carly Harp also introduced herself, cited accounting and small-business experience and said she would welcome the opportunity to serve. Council members asked both candidates about personal ties and plans to remain in Three Forks; both indicated they intend to stay in the community.
Councilman Garret Buchanan moved to nominate Alex Blackburn for the City Council seat; Councilman Gene Townsend seconded. There was no public comment. The motion passed unanimously and Blackburn was appointed to the seat expiring Dec. 31, 2027. Council members thanked both applicants and encouraged the unsuccessful candidate to consider other boards or future elections.
