The Aplington City Council unanimously approved its consent agenda May 13, which included the meeting agenda, minutes from the April 8 meeting and the April 27 budget adoption meeting, and financial reports ending April 2026. The council also approved a list of claims totaling $216,357.01.
The claims ledger presented to the council lists multiple vendor payments and notable single items such as an EMC insurance renewal for $74,490.00, utility and contractor charges, ambulance service payments, and equipment repairs and maintenance across city departments. Clerk Michelle Thede provided the financial totals and itemized payees for council review.
Council accepted the financial report and authorized payment of the listed claims. The revenue summary included by the clerk showed fund balances and an overall total of $375,674.48 across listed funds ending April 2026.
No amendments to the claims list were made during the meeting. Council members indicated routine consent approval and there was no extended discussion on individual line items.
