Public Works Director Jeff Ridder presented the MSA agreement and the sealed bids for the street-repair project. Ridder told the council that Blacktop Service Company submitted the lowest bid. A motion by Council member Meyer, seconded by Council member Klahsen, to approve the MSA agreement carried unanimously. A subsequent motion by Meyer, seconded by Klahsen, to award the street-repair contract to Blacktop Service Company passed by roll call with all ayes.
Council also heard operational updates: Mason Ridder will return as summer help, and Ridder will gather quotes on removing the swimming pool vessel and return with options next month. The council’s approvals allow the public works department to proceed with the diffuser analysis and to schedule the street repairs for the 2026 construction season.
The council did not attach any special conditions to the street contract during the meeting. Next procedural steps are contracting with Blacktop Service Company and completing the MSA diffuser analysis scope of work.
