The Treasurer reported that the Thompson Falls PTO has a current balance of $4,968.87 and detailed withdrawals of $1,103.79 since the April 15 meeting. The itemized expenses included popcorn salt ($10), 600 cups for Field Day ($17.09), 50 eighth-grade graduation goodie bags ($25.63), staff-appreciation baskets and fillers ($26.97; additional items totaling $95.06), a larger staff-appreciation purchase covering breakfast and graduation-bag snacks ($597.57), 320 popsicles for Field Day ($16.50), extra breakfast pastries ($47.92), meat-and-cheese trays from Falls Market ($235), and vegetables for sandwiches ($32.05).
Deposits of $150 were recorded: a $50 donation from Leufken’s Company earmarked for staff-appreciation baskets and a $100 donation from Hayley Blakney. The Treasurer noted that a W-9 has been emailed to the PTO email address for future reference and that donation receipts still need to be distributed and thank-you cards signed.
The meeting recap said the staff-appreciation raffle distributed 30 baskets and that 24 local businesses plus one chain donated items. The PTO also adopted a new raffle-winner selection process: names are drawn until each winner has been assigned one basket, with duplicates redrawn until each winner has one basket.
The PTO did not record any formal motions or votes on these financial items during the meeting. No additional budget approvals were listed in the meeting notes. The Treasurer will continue to provide financial reports at subsequent meetings.
