At the Monroe‑Woodbury Central School District annual organizational meeting, trustees nominated and elected Caitlin Simmons as board president and Suzanne Donahue as vice president for the 2026–27 school year. The board chair called for nominations and motions; each motion was seconded and carried on voice votes of "Aye." The chair announced, "Motion carries," when the votes concluded.
Oaths of office were administered to multiple officials. Newly elected trustees (including Brian Bellino, Keisha Tillman and Bernie Vega) recited the standard oath to support the U.S. and New York State constitutions. The district also administered the oath to Superintendent Dr. Norman, district clerk Diane Gentile and newly seated student representative Valerie Canales Maderno.
Administrators and trustees used the organizational meeting to confirm routine appointments and honors. The board approved presented appointments, designated official depositories for district funds (including Chase Bank, New York Cooperative Liquid Assets, TD Bank, Webster Bank and M&T Bank) and confirmed personnel actions and promotional hires.
The board adjourned the organizational portion of the meeting and convened its regular session to continue routine business.
