Athens board approves personnel manual updates, fee changes and recycling ordinance replacement

Trustee Thorson presented recommended updates from the Finance & Personnel Committee and the board approved changes to the Personnel Manual on motion by Thorson, seconded by Brodziski; the motion carried.
The board approved a new fee schedule effective Jan. 1, 2026 on motion by Thorson, seconded by Socha. On motion by Perkins, seconded by Socha, the board approved repeal and replacement of Village Ordinance Chapter 435 Article 2 concerning waste management and recycling.
Additional routine approvals included participation in the Local Government Investment Pool (motion by Perkins, seconded by Socha), approval of the 2026 mobile home permit for Athens Court (motion by Guden, seconded by Perkins), approval of an extra-territorial Certified Survey Map for the Robbie Diedrich property in the Town of Rietbrock (motion by Perkins, seconded by Thorson), and a picnic license for the Athens Lions Club for Jan. 10, 2026 (motion by Guden, seconded by Thurs).
