Town staff told the Albany Selectmen on July 23 that the proposed statistical revaluation contract with Northtown Associates LLC is under review by the state Department of Revenue and cannot be signed until the DRA approves it.
“The Department of Revenue has to review and approve it before we can sign it,” a staff member reported, saying DRA may request changes. The staff member added that once DRA approves, the state requested a kickoff meeting including a Selectman, a DRA representative (Denise Roy), and a Northtown representative.
A Selectman moved to table approval of the contract until the Department of Revenue completes its review; the Chair seconded the motion and the board voted in favor. The action means the town will await DRA’s approval and any requested modifications before executing the contract or scheduling the kickoff meeting.
The Selectmen did not set a new date for final action on the contract at this meeting.
