Planning board approves modest budget increases for land‑use staff; Granite Ridge MILR to be signed

The Ashland Planning Board voted to increase the land‑use secretary’s regular hours from six to eight per week (with occasional additional hours) and to reallocate training funds so more board and zoning members can attend an upcoming land‑use conference. The changes were presented as part of the 2025 budget process and were approved by the board.
Chair Kendall Hughes said the position has required more time because of current workloads and that the board will forward the recommendation for inclusion in the FY2025 budget. The training budget was increased by approximately $720 to allow up to six people to attend the conference.
Separately, the board noted that the Mutual Infrastructure/Limitations Release (MILR) for the Granite Ridge subdivision was ready and would be signed by Paula Hancock and the chair after the meeting as previously agreed.
