At its March 24 meeting the Shenandoah Town Council approved several routine administrative items: the council approved the March 10 regular meeting minutes and the March 10 joint public hearing minutes; it approved Combined Accounts Disbursement Warrants #43663–#43688 dated March 10, 2026 in the amount of $161,847.44; and it approved the Treasurer’s Report dated March 19, 2026 showing $2,565,199.20.
Council also approved a $299 payment to Gochenour Plumbing to clean a check valve for a local business after the town-installed water meter replacement left sediment in the lines; the business asked the council to cover the cost and council voted to pay the $299 invoice.
At 8:35 p.m. council moved into a closed session under Code of Virginia, 1950, §2.2-3711(A)(1) for personnel and legal matters and returned at 9:09 p.m., certifying that only matters permitted under the cited Code section were discussed. The minutes do not disclose the subjects discussed in closed session.
