Shenandoah council approves $312,166 in bills, accepts $2.36M treasurer's report

The motion to approve the warrants was made by Council Member Lynn Fox and seconded by Council Member Brenda Haggett. Roll-call votes recorded yea from Council Members Denise Cave, Lynn Fox, Brenda Haggett and Christopher Reisinger; Council Member I. Michael Lowe was recorded as abstaining. The treasurer's report was moved by Council Member Haggett and seconded by Council Member Cave, with the same roll-call pattern documented.
Town Manager Charlie Jenkins told council the town also received an auditors' letter from RFC/CPAs noting items for the Town of Shenandoah for fiscal year end June 30, 2025 were "approved and cleared," according to the minutes. Jenkins further reported the town received a separate Virginia Department of Health grant deposit tied to lead-and-copper survey work (see separate item).
The approvals were procedural actions to close routine financial business for the meeting. No new budget appropriations or ordinance adoptions were recorded for tonight; council recorded motions and roll-call tallies consistent with standard meeting procedure.
