Board approves small transfers to cover senior‑van tires and DMV inspection repairs

He told the board that many of the department’s popular fitness and program offerings are offered through contractor instructors and funded by direct participant fees; an electronic “loop” newsletter has reduced postage expenses.
Board members approved both transfers by voice vote and thanked Gorman for clarifying program funding and postage savings. Gorman also noted unplanned costs can arise with vehicles (for example, recharging fire extinguishers after multi‑year cycles) and that some lines may need additional review by year‑end.
