Luck, Wis. — At its Feb. 12, 2025 meeting the Luck Village Board approved two finance and staffing measures affecting the municipal golf course.
On a motion by Committee member Sonja Jensen, seconded by Committee member Ron Steen, the board authorized moving $110,000 from the 3 Year Membership Account into a five-month certificate of deposit at 4.2% through Frandsen Bank and Trust. The board named Laurie Cook and Village Clerk Jennifer Anderson as account signers. The minutes record the transfer was recommended by the Golf Commission and the Finance Board and that the motion passed “all in favor — aye; carried.”
The board also approved two hires recommended by the Golf Commission and Finance Board: a Golf Course General Manager/Director and a Golf Course Superintendent. Both hires were recorded with a hire date of Jan. 23, 2025 and a pay-effective date of Dec. 14, 2024. The minutes show the motion to approve the manager/director was made by Jensen and seconded by Ron Steen; the superintendent hire was moved by Jensen and seconded by Committee member Stephanie Mueller. Both motions were recorded as carried unanimously.
The decisions place $110,000 in a short-term, interest-bearing account and finalize staffing for the golf course. No public comment or dissent is noted in the minutes. The meeting adjourned later in the session.
