Bethania board approves routine minutes, reviews finances and schedules special budget session

At its April 10, 2025 meeting, the Town of Bethania Board of Commissioners approved routine agenda items, reviewed financial reports and scheduled a Special Board Budget Working Session for Monday, April 28 at 5:30 PM.
The board adopted the meeting agenda on a motion by Commissioner Tom Beroth. The minutes of the March 13, 2025 regular meeting and the April 7, 2025 special budget working session were moved, approved unanimously and signed. Commissioner Tom Beroth reviewed the financial reports as of March 31, 2025 and the board had no questions.
Commissioner Johanna Brown reported $210 in Visitor Center sales for March. Town Clerk Karen Keller reported 17 total tickets written in March, 14 of them for speeding, with an average miles-per-hour-over figure of 18.64. Keller also relayed that Deputy Boysel pursued a dirt bike rider at the cemetery on March 13 and will continue patrols.
Mayor Rockett initially asked the board to schedule a second Budget Working Session for Wednesday, April 30 at 5:30; after discussion and noting the Clerk's unavailability, Commissioner Michelle Leonard withdrew that motion and moved instead to schedule the Special Board Meeting on Monday, April 28 at 5:30 PM; the motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 6:33 PM on a motion by Commissioner Beroth.
