Fire Chief Troy Madland updated the Lyndon Station Village Board on department activity and training at the Feb. 9 meeting.
Chief Madland said the department has logged 231 hours so far this year, compared with 126.5 hours at the same time last year. In the past month the department responded to six calls totaling 110 hours, including one large structure fire. He also said six officers are scheduled to attend state-required training starting Feb. 16 in New Lisbon; some class costs will be covered by state funding.
Chief Madland and Clerk Michelle Klein will investigate nonworking gas cards at the local station and report back. He also requested possible use of Village Hall for 4‑H meetings, which the board will discuss at a future meeting.
