Kirbyville R‑VI board approves change order, SRO addendum and 2024–25 bus routes; moves to executive session

On informational and action items, the board approved several items by unanimous roll call: Change Order Proposal No. 4 for the district construction project (motion by Josh Brittain, second by Ryan Sanders); a payment to ESS (motion by Tom Motley, second by Paul Michel); an addendum to the School Resource Officer memorandum of understanding with TCSO (motion by Rebecca Shrope, second by Josh Brittain); and the 2024–2025 Kirbyville School bus routes (motion by Trula Plummer, second by Paul Michel). Each of those motions carried 7-0.
The agenda also included a first reading of MSBA School Board Policy Revisions 2024B and ongoing work on GPA and the student handbook; no motions or votes were taken on those items. The record shows there were no CSIP program reviews for August and no principals' or superintendent's reports presented.
At 6:14 p.m. the board voted to move into executive session under Missouri law, citing RSMo 610.021 subsections (3)(13) for personnel and (6)(14) for student matters; the motion passed 7-0.
