Board President Brad Allbritton called the Kirbyville R‑VI School District Board to order Oct. 10 at 4:31 p.m. During routine business trustees approved several administrative motions without further discussion.
Ryan Sanders moved to approve the ESS Pay App #5 and the Final Pay App “as presented,” and Trula Plummer seconded. The motion carried 6-0. The minutes do not specify the purpose of the pay applications or further contract details.
Sanders also moved to approve an additional professional‑development day on Dec. 2, 2024, with a voluntary attendance stipend of $500; Josh Brittain seconded. That motion carried 6-0.
Rebecca Shrope moved to approve a memorandum of understanding between TCSD and the Kirbyville R‑VI School District “as presented,” and Ryan Sanders seconded; the motion passed 6-0. The meeting record does not include the MOU’s substantive terms.
The board reviewed 2024–25 employee survey data and listed the student handbook item as ongoing; no motions were recorded on those agenda items. Trustees then approved routine consent items — the Sept. 12, 2024 regular minutes, bills and substitute list — on a 6-0 vote after a motion by Trula Plummer and a second from Rebecca Shrope.
The meeting proceeded to other agenda items and later moved into executive session. The board adjourned the public session at 5:00 p.m.
